Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister entered eternal rest on April 2, 2014 at the age of 80. Julia was born in Mexico to Fernando cortez and Zapopan Valdez on March 16, 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents, and grandsons; Joe Anthony Sr. and Aaron Gomez. She leaves behind to cherish her memories her children: Raul Gomez and wife Diana, Maria Virginia Gomez, Jose A. Gomez and wife Kelly; grandchildren; Luis Edmundo Ramirez, Joe Anthony Ramirez Jr.; and siblings: Maria De La Luz Perez, Antonio Estrada, Jose Estrada. The family will be receiving guests at 12:00 noon on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Monday, April 7, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate a 9:30 Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery.
