Edward is preceded in death by his parents, brother Scott and son, John Helton.
He is survived by his fiancée, Sylvia Chavez, brother Ben Helton; sons, Alan and Stephen (Leslie); grandchildren, Kai Gabriel and Jordan; stepson, Rafael Palos; and nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Edward retired from the Army with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel after 30 years of faithful service to his country. Mr. Helton graduated from UC Santa Barbara in 1977. He received a Bachelor of Arts College of Letters and Science. He retired as a Subcontracts Manager under Raytheon.
He was a very kind hearted man and deeply devoted to his faith in God. Eddie had a passion for music & was an avid drummer.
Eddie will be missed beyond words. Family and friends are so very thankful for the many years they were blessed with his presence. He will live in our hearts forever.
