Lucy was a force of nature. She was a wonderful neighbor. She is someone you remember as her spirit was strong.

Someone once said that we were put on this earth to have a positive impact on someone(s) often it’s just one person… and that’s OK… our job is done. Can you imagine how many positive impacts Lucy gave in her lifetime. A job well done. Lucy had a circle of friends who sincerely loved and cared about her and vice versa. We have seen and experienced it through the years. Above all Lucy taught us you don’t necessarily have to have the same blood to be family.  For that we thank you.
Until our paths cross again you will be truly missed and never forgotten.

We called her “ the Queen of Beacon Hill” .  Lucy was a strong presence in the lives of  of her friends. She taught us to never give up. She taught us elegance and manners.  Her stories would make you explode in raucous laughter or would open up your humanity.  One felt honored to be included in her dinners and soirées. 
Her 4th of July parties were unforgettable and we were amazed at how an elderly woman could hold such perfect parties—- from cocktails to desserts to entertainment, all the while greeting her guests one by one and making you feel special.  And, all the while Lucy would look glamorous and not break a sweat in the hot 4th of July weather of San Antonio. 
As the years go by and friends and family gather Lucy’s name will be on our lips;  she  was truly an unforgettable and beautiful presence in our lives.
.Thank you Lucy, for being my friend. Thank you for teaching me to be strong during hard times and to celebrate the good times. Thank you for than huge birthday party you gave me because I shared with you that I had never in my life had a birthday party. Although I insisted that you not give me the party, you did, because you loved me. 
May her reunion with Ruben and Rolando be sweet.

Lucy love to dress up and make a grand entrance . She would always say “ when you walk into a room be sure you are are noticed by everyone. She was a seamstress and make this dress and decorated her hat with many beads. She won 1st place at this Red Hatters event ❤️

Lucy loved to sing and entertain at her parties. She will be greatly missed. 

Lucy had a zest for life!  We will miss those fun talks on her patio and hearing about all the cool stuff she did in life… Most of all we will miss that smile and beautiful voice.  The 900 block of W Mulberry will never be the same without her… Rest in Heaven Lucy… I’m so glad you’ve been reunited with your husband and son in Heaven. 

So, the story goes that when this picture was taken the two older girls (my mother and aunt Lucy) were fighting over a bracelet that they both wanted to wear so grandma put it away but as you can see in the picture Aunt Lucy found it and wore it for the picture. Even as a young child she knew the importance of looking well put together. She always stole the show. RIP Aunt Lucy

My grandma taught her to play guitar and Aunt Lucy loved performing.
