Lucy Rodriguez, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, entered rest on May 16, 2011 at the age of 74. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on March 2, 1937. Lucy was a member of the Guadalupanas and served as a volunteer for various non-profit organizations. She will be remembered by her family for her hard work and dedication and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Cisneros. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Reyes Rodriguez; their daughters, Florencia Candelaria Cox and her husband Mike, Maria G. Rodriguez; three grandchildren: Lola, Antonio and Reyes Rodriguez; other relatives and many friends. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 19, 2011 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2011 to celebrate a 10:00 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso (78207). Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III.
