Magdalena S. Torres

Magdalena S. Torres, age 66, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024. Magdalena was born in San Antonio, Texas to Alicia M. and Nicholas D. Sanchez. Magdalena graduated from Lanier High School and attended classes at St. Philip's Community College as well. She went on to work in Medical Records at Santa Rosa Hospital. She enjoyed baking with her grandkids and was known for her cakes. She had a big heart and loved her family more than anything, their laughter brought her so much joy.

Magdalena is preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Angela Galindo. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Federico L. Torres; her children, Amanda M. Torres and Alfred S. Torres; her grandchildren, Mandy Sauceda, Sydney Sauceda, Kourtney Sauceda, and Steven Sauceda; her sisters, Sylvia Guzman, Rosalinda Vasquez, Anna Pastrano, Terry Fernandez, Carmen Campos, Lisa Villa, and Alice Romo; and her brothers, Sebastian Sanchez, Octaviano Sanchez, Nicholas Sanchez, and Albert Sanchez.

A viewing will be held Monday, May 27, 2024 at 5:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78205. A funeral mass will take place the following morning, Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2114 W Houston St., San Antonio, Texas 78207. Burial will follow at Cordi-Marian Resurrection Cemetery, 11624 Culebra, San Antonio, Texas 78253.
