Marcos Perez Jr.

Marcos Perez Jr., age 85, of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marcos and Catalina Perez; son, Mario; sisters: Paz Garcia, Hortencia Solano, Elvira Fuentes, and Mary Garza. He is survived by his wife of 57 years and 11 months, Maria Hilda Perez; and children: Margo (David) Monsivais, Marcos III (Victoria) Perez, Hortense C. Perez, Jimmy R. Perez, and Alma Delia (Gabriel) Fuentes. Mario; sister, Ofelia; Grandchildren: Danielle (Amanda) Monsivais, Marcos Perez IV, Felicia (Mario) Fuentes, and numerous nieces and nephews. Marcos was a graduate of Fox Tech High School and served in the U.S Army. He worked at the State Hospital for 7 years before working at Kelly Air Force Base where he retired after 24 years. He enjoyed playing the guitar with the church choir and being with family. The family will receive guests at Roy Akers funeral home on Monday, May 16, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. to celebrate a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Little Flower Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Ft.Sam Houston National Cemetery.
