Margie was a proud San Antonio native and attended Jefferson and Alamo Heights high schools as well as Incarnate Word. She loved to travel, making friends everywhere she went. She also loved animals and wildlife; especially birds, cats and dogs. She was an avid reader, the genres of books that she enjoyed reading the most were history, the arts and the sciences. She also enjoyed learning about alternative healing remedies and being politically active.
Margaret is preceded in death by brother Richard Hughes and husband James T. Shaw.
She is survived by her daughters Lisa Woolf, Toni Holbrook and her husband Joe Holbrook Jr.
Margie will be greatly missed by those who knew her.
A graveside service will occur Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209
