What can I write about such an amazing woman.  I feel like a movie should be made about her life, to tell people about the strength of a woman who put family above everything and gave every last drop of herself, in service to her loved ones and anyone in need.  She opened her heart and her home to so many over the years, and never forgot the kindnesses that were extended to her.  I spent so much time with my Grandma, over the years, listening to her tales of her journeys, her struggles, her love of her children...She told me of how she taught them the value of hard work and I know that to be true, as shown in the fine example of my father.  All of her children have worked hard to raise their families and "seguir adelante", as she would always say.  

I have so many fond childhood memories of eating Grandma's tortillas with butter, rolled up, as a quick snack, on the run, while playing.  I will miss her fideo and carnitas, that she would make me, each week, when I would eat lunch with her, as an adult, when I worked for the City.  During those weekly lunch visits, I learned so much about her life, and my parents, aunts and uncles when they were younger and it gave me such great perspective on who they all were as time went by.  It gave me great compassion and deepened my love for all who had struggled so much.  There's a saying, "Be kinder than necessary - everyone is fighting some kind of battle."  That was one of Grandma's parting pieces of wisdom for us..."Be good to each other...Take care of each other..."  I love and miss her dearly, but her love and wisdom will always live on in my heart and in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief.  May your memories bring you comfort.

While this is a time of sadness, we can take joy in knowing that she is now comfortable and resting. Margarita spent her whole life working hard to be the absolute best matriarch her family required, often working so hard that she excelled well beyond expectations. She was a strong and very spirited person and will be deeply missed, but every member of her family can be proud to have known her and cherish having been loved by her. I didn't get to know her well, but the smell of fresh flour tortillas, bunuelos, and anise are just a few of the little things that will bring back fond memories of the time I did spend with her. My heart, thoughts, and prayers are with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and siblings.

To the Nungaray family - what a blessing she was in your life.  She is now in God's loving arms, how wonderful that must be.  Love to all, Jerry and Lee Fell

Margarita was my mother-in-law for twenty three years, we had our ups and downs like most mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws do, but I know this woman worked most of her life to give her children a better life.  Now is a time to honor her and remember her with all our good memories and the good times we had with her.  She is at peace and I thank God that she is young and happy and enjoying her time with our Lord.  I can see her singing and dancing with the angles.  Margaita tell my daddy hello for me and I will see you later and we can all get together to celebrate our new life with the Lord.  I ask the Lord to give peace and joy to all the family knowing that their love one is safe in God's hands now.   This is not the end but a beautiful new beginning.  Clara A. Norris
