Margie Guerra

Margie Guerra, 89, entered peacefully into eternal rest November 16, 2016. Born in San Antonio June 25, 1927, to Mauro and Aurora (Brown) Buenrostro, Margie now reunites with her parents, her devoted husband of more than 30 years Rudy Guerra, brother Mauro Phil, and Petra Buenrostro (“Tia”) who helped raise her. Margie is survived by her children: Antonio (Diane), Cynthia (Gilbert Diaz), Joe Vito (Susan), and Richard (Brenda); grandchildren: Cynthia, John Joseph, Vanessa, Marshall, Evan and Preston; great-grandchildren: Cecily Jade, Riley Nicole and Jake; her brother Hector; and her beloved fur baby Gordis. Margie had a great passion for gardening, quilting and needlepoint. She loved her family dearly and, with spunk, lived her life to the fullest. Margie’s family will receive guests at Roy Akers Funeral Home at 5:30 pm, Monday, November 28, with a memorial service to follow at 7 pm. Cremation will take place at a later date.
