Maria Elena Davila

Maria Elena Davila, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the age of 91. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Maria was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio Davila. She is survived by her sons, Alvaro Fernandez of Del Rio, Texas, Jaime Fernandez of Memphis, Tennesee, Joe Garcia of San Antonio, Texas, and Tony Davila of San Antonio, Texas; stepdaughter, Celia Delgado and her daughter, Dr. Celyna Delgado; grandchildren, Eva Fernandez, Sylvia Ann Fernandez, Brian Fernandez, Jeff Fernandez, Joe Garcia Jr., Steven Garcia, John Anthony Garcia, Andrew Garcia, Jacob Garcia, Monica Palmer, Christopher Davila, and Danielle Davila; and daughter-in-law, Rita Fernandez; sisters, Jovita Castillo, Esperanza Salinas, Armandina Marinez and Alicia Morales; 12 surviving great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N. Main, on Monday, September 24, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home the following morning, Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. A Committal Service will follow at Mission Burial Park South.
