Maria Antonia C. Garcia

Maria Antonia C. Garcia, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and woman of deep faith, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 93.

Born on September 30, 1932, Antonia lived a life centered on love, family, and her unwavering Catholic faith. On November 29, 1953, she married the love of her life, Nieves T. Garcia, beginning a devoted marriage rooted in faith, commitment, and mutual respect.

Antonia's greatest joy was her family and home. She treasured time spent together, especially during meals and gatherings where her cooking brought everyone close. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and prayer.

A woman of strong devotion, she believed deeply in the power of prayer. She prayed the rosary daily and carried many Psalms in her heart, reciting them from memory throughout her life. Her faith guided her every day and was a constant source of strength and peace.

Antonia found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—tending to her garden and yard, listening to music, and faithfully watching her beloved Spanish novellas. These quiet moments reflected her spirit and appreciation for life’s blessings.

She will be remembered for her thoughts and words she shared, her faith-filled life, and her love for her family. Maria Antonia C. Garcia leaves behind a legacy of devotion, resilience, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on December 19, 2025, from 11:00am to 12:00 pm at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, located at 102 Lorenz Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.

A rosary will follow on December 19, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm at the same location.

The funeral mass will take place on December 19, 2025, from 12:

30 pm to 1:30 pm at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church.

The graveside service will be conducted on December 19, 2025, from 2:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the Archdiocese of San Antonio - Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
