Maria Chavez Garcia, 101, of San Antonio, Texas was called to be with our heavenly father on Thursday, June 7, 2018, surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria Chavez and Natividad Vasquez, Husband, Higinio Garcia De Hoyos and her Children; Yolanda J. Davila, Higinio Garcia Jr. Maria is survived by her Children; Olivia Penalver, Angelita G. Ramirez, Antonio Garcia, Gloria Anna Vela, Catalina Pacheco, Natividad Fernandez, Guadalupe Requena, Conrado Garcia. As well as 30 loving Grandchildren, 72 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great Great Grandchildren, and accompanied by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. Maria loved going traveling with her family and joining them in celebrations. Visitation for Maria Chavez Garcia will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Ave. on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 5:00pm with a Rosary at 7:00pm. The funeral procession will depart on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 10:30am for an 11:00am Funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 600 Oblate Dr., with interment to follow at San Fernando II.
