Maria Guardiola, known to many friends as “Rose Mary”, 73, was called to be with the Lord on July 16, 2016. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ignacio G. Guardiola, and her children, Sophia Pina (Steven); Gilbert Guardiola (Elisha); Sonia Vasquez, (Martin); grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by sons Manuel Vesa and Fernando Guardiola. She was described by her friends as a warm listener who was sincere and always willing to help others. Her loving, joyful and kind spirit will be missed by all who knew her. The family will be receiving guests at Roy Akers funeral home, 515 N Main Ave., on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 4:30 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. Rosary. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 210 St. Ann Street. A procession will follow to San Fernando Cemetery #2.
