Maria Teresa Mauricio, 82, of San Antonio, TX, passed away August 1st, 2021, after a long battle with dementia. Her loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and friends will dearly miss her.
Born in San Antonio, TX, Teresa, as she preferred to be called by her middle name, was a graduate of Ursuline Academy and received an associate’s degree in Computer Science from San Antonio College. She met Gilbert Mauricio, her love of 57 years, through family friends and together they had two daughters. She worked many years at Kelly Air Force Base where she retired.
Teresa loved to travel, especially with family. There were many trips to many states both east and west. She also enjoyed her trips to Canada and Mexico. She loved seeing the mountains, but her favorite trips involved beaches, usually two to three trips per year. Teresa loved to paint as well and was a big fan of Bob Ross. The Bob Ross Show was always playing in the house. If it wasn’t on, then cooking shows were a second favorite. Her backyard garden was also a favorite pastime. Teresa was a beautiful, vibrant, loving mom and devoted her time mostly to family. She loved her family fiercely. We had so many laughs and shared so many adventures together.
She is the eldest of six children and preceded in death by her parents, Elena and Alejando Peralta.
Teresa is survived by her husband Gilbert Mauricio; her daughters Ursula Garrison, Catherine Mauricio-Miller; her daughter-in-law Lisa Mauricio-Miller; her grandchildren Hannah Garrison, Caitlyn Garrison and husband Nick Gonzales, Madeleine Garrison; her brother Alex and wife Sylvia Peralta; her brother Frank and wife Denise Peralta; her sister Silvia Osorno; her sister Candelaria and husband Humberto Reyna; her sister Ernestine and husband Luis Zimmerle and many many more cousins, nieces and nephews.
