Maria R. Rodriguez

Maria R. Rodriguez, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, entered rest on November 30, 2014 at the age of 89. She was born to Francisco and Juanita Rico on September 10, 1925 in Ennis, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresita “Terry” Cantu; and a son, Daniel Rodriguez. She is survived by husband of 63 years, Lucas D. Rodriguez; children Lucas R. Rodriguez, Jr. and wife Maria Elena, Maria Luisa R. Hernandez and husband Joe David, Elizabeth R. Botello and husband Roland, Jorge Rodriguez and wife Veronica; 14 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Maria enjoyed shopping and had a passion for music, and their four-legged fury friends. She will be remembered by her family as a woman of strength and love for her family. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2014 to celebrate a 9:30 a.m. Mass at San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church.
