Marion was born to Edward Walton Cobbett & Eleanor Poole Cobbett on January 14, 1926, in Rockland, Massachusetts. As a child, she was energetic; her brothers taught her how to ice skate and she was good at it! As a young woman, she enjoyed dancing.
Marion met her husband Edward Carrola in 1944, in Massachusetts, while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. They married December 23, 1944, and went on to have 5 children. They moved to Texas in 1949, where her husband had joined the San Antonio Fire Department. She owned an antique shop which was filled with curiosities. In addition to being a loving mother, Marion also loved her little dog, Spot. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God.
Marion was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward Carrola Sr., son, Edward (Skip) Carrola Jr., and her parents and siblings, Edward, George, and Walter Cobbett.
She is survived by her sister, Gert Hammond, daughters; Marie Carrola (George Garza), Susan Matteucci (Bob), Mary Carter (Gene), and son Frank Carrola (Giovanna). Grandchildren; Lisa, Edie, Kathleen, Amber, Ernest, Gina, Gene Michael, Jennifer, Madeline, Lola, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
