Martin Silva, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, entered rest on January 21, 2013 at the age of 69. He was born to Manuel and Evangelina Silva in Laredo, Texas on August 23, 1943. Mr. Silva honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Teresa Rubio. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa Silva and their children: Martin Silva Jr. and his wife Gracie, Sandy Silva, Santa Veronica Lopez; grandson, Jorge A. Lopez; brothers: Manuel Silva, Daniel Silva, Gilberto Silva; sisters, Evangelina Castaneda and Maria Petra Torres. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 5, 2013 also at the funeral home. Internment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
