Mary Louise Rea (Felan) blessed this earth March 9th, 1940, entered into Heavenly rest July 3, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Martin G and Maria Felan, Husband Charles W. Rea, daughter Adrianne, and stepdaughter Charlene. Survived by her children Grace, Jacob (loving caregiver) and James Rea. Many loving family members and friends.
Mary worked for the Baptist Hospital System 26 yrs. She stayed active helping others. While working, she found time to take care of her husband, father, aunts and family. Taking her loved ones to Doctor’s appointments, shopping and running errands for others. You never heard her complain about the burden she was carrying or about how tired she must have been.
With all her responsibilities, Mary was always happy, and her laugh was infectious. She loved to have fun and whose laughter was the loudest at family gatherings. She loved shopping and the occasional gambling trips with her best friend Margie Schmidt. She didn’t mind losing some money but absolutely loved winning.
Mary will be deeply missed, her departure leaves a hollowness in the lives she touched and those left behind. Rest in Peace and Love Mom. We will always love and remember you.
A visitation for Mary will be held Tuesday, July 11, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A committal service will occur Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
