Michael D. Hoyer

Michael (Mickey) D. Hoyer, 71, passed away on March 10, 2018 at his home in San Antonio, TX. Preceded in death by his parents: Albert J. Hoyer and Lillian. He is survived by his brother: Jim and Gina Hoyer; sister: Cheri Hoyer; Nieces: Roberta and Jon Whitley, Kelly and Ed Connolly; nephew: Steve Hoyer and numerous cousins. Michael was a graduate of La Salle H.S. in San Antonio and he enjoyed spending time with his brother Jim on the deer lease every year, coming home with many stories, and once in a while a deer. He was an avid collector of guns, knives and Texas History memorabilia, as well as an enthusiastic sports fan. The family would like to thank Mickey’s neighbors Cindy and Gerald for their friendship and diligence in watching out for him. And thanks to Roberta and Jon for their devotion and love shown to their Uncle in too many ways to count.

Visitation will be on Mon, March 19 from 5-8 pm at Roy Akers Funeral Chapel at 515 N. Main Ave. Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 am on Tues, March 20 at Roy Akers, with interment to follow at San Jose Burial.
