Miguel Angel De Leon

Born on May 26, 1950 in Mexico, he came to the United States at the age of 10 months. He became a naturalized citizen at the age of 18. He worked at Via Metropolitan Transit for 30 years taking patrons to work, shop, school, medical appointments, etc.

He and his wife met in high school both graduating in 1969. He was married for 50 years to Esther Zepeda De Leon and they had three children. Michael De Leon (wife Joanelda De Leon), Marcus De Leon and Marissa De Leon Ruiz (husband Chris). Four grandchildren, Yesenia Ruiz, Adelina Ruiz, Brodus De Leon and Brolio De Leon.

Siblings: Octavio De Leon, Jr., Jose De Leon (deceased) and Lilyann Adame. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavio De Leon, Sr. and Ofelia Salinas De Leon.

He loved Tom Jones and listened to his music for the last hour of his life.

A visitation for Miguel will be held Monday, August 9, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Roy Akers Funeral Home with graveside service following at San Fernando #3 Cemetery, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
