Mildred Gorsie

Mildred Zaiontz Gorsie entered eternal rest November 5, 2015 on her 96 birthday. A native of San Antonio, TX, she was born to Benjamin and Ida Zaiontz in 1919. She now reunites with her parents; husband, George L. Gorsie; son, George Gorsie Jr.; sisters, Josephine Haase and Particia Muecke. She is survived by her children, Judith Gorsie Desalme (Adolph Jr.), Phillip T. Gorsie (Emma); grandchildren: Jerome and Syndie Deslame, Denise and Allen Perry, Diane and Charles Leatherwood, Debora and Brad Moore, Darlene and Cruz Narvaez, Joseph and Sara Desalme, Gretta and George Karker, Jacqui Berry; sister, Catherine Bourquin (Gilbert); and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. In her early years Mildred worked in Real Estate and marketing with the Houston Astro Dome. She loved cats, cooking, enjoyed traveling, and was a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. The family will be receiving guests at the funeral home on Sunday,November 15, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m.Rosary. Services will continue at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 8134 Blanco rd., on Monday, November 16, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Resurrection.
