Nettie "Tillie" Young

Nettie Ottilia Wright Young....Tillie, was born 14 August 1931 in Red Rock, Bastrop County, Texas to Edna May "Dollie" Allison and Everette Edward Wright. She grew up in Central Texas during the years of the Great Depression before moving to Austin in 1946.

She married George Ralph Young, a soldier in the USAF, in Austin 11 June 1948 and began the adventure of being a military wife. In 1964, George retired and brought the family back to Texas eventually settling in San Antonio in 1966.

She is preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers Marion Grady Mitcham, John Hardy Mitcham and James Edward Wright, and one sister Emma Estelle Mitcham Parker Rogers.

She is survived by children Michael Young, Eileen Young Wellnicki (Galen), Tom Young and Cecilia Young (Peter Smith) and grandchildren Eli, Nathan and Moriah Wellnicki, Erik (Maureen) and Tabitha Young, Colin Smith and Evan Smith. along with multi-generations of nieces, nephews, and cousins and a host of friends.
