Nicolasa M. Lopez went to be with the Lord on January 19, 2022 at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her parents Rafael and Tiodula Medina; husband, Leonard Lopez; son, Jesse Cantu; grandchildren, Jason Cantu and Paul Cadena; great granddaughter, Autumn Lee.

Nicolasa is survived by her children, Irma Perez, Sylvia Cadena, Jose Cantu, Jr., Sandra Cantu-Griffith and Debbie Fabela; 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren.

Nicolasa enjoyed creating ceramics, dancing and singing.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 30, 2022 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Roy Akers, 515 N. Main Ave. Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 31, 2022 at St, Timothy Catholic Church, 1515 Saltillo. A committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
