I will always remember when Aunt Patricia came to visit Mom & Dad in Virginia one winter. Every morning she would wake up and then wake me up.
"Paul, it's time to start the fire" she would say in a very sweet voice. " Aunt Patricia, it's too early for a fire" I would reply. " Paul, I am your Aunt and I would like the fire lit now please" in the same sweet voice, although now it had an edge to it. " Yes Aunt Patricia, let me get that fire lit" I replied. " Thank you Paul".

Strangely enough, when I visited her one summer, and it was about 105 degrees outside, she kept her apartment so cold you could store meat in it. And there she was in a short sleeved shirt!

She was a kind and gentle person and Heaven is a little brighter now that she's there. I'll miss you Aunt Patricia and I love you.

Patricia's services are at Roy Akers Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 5 at 10:30am with internment at Holy Cross Cemetery immediately after the service.

Patricia was a wonderful sister, and I will miss her very much. She loved people and life. She will be remembered for her lovely smile, her interest and love for people, especially her family, and her faith in her God. How fortunate I am to have someone to whom saying goodbye is so hard.
