Paul W. Tarrillion

Paul William Tarrillion passed away on October 14, 2011. He was born on February 22, 1917 to Paul and Augusta Tarrillion in San Antonio. He married Ruth Jansky on October 23, 1942 and they celebrated nearly 62 years of marriage. He was an original member of St. Margaret Mary parish. He served the community as a member of the Downtown Optimist Club since 1949. He served his Church on the Archdiocesan Administration Council, on the parish finance council, as treasurer for the parish festival, and on the parish building committee. He was active in the Boy Scouts, serving as Scoutmaster and as a member of the board of directors for more than 50 years for Troop 177. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife ,Ruth Tarrillion; and by grandson, Stephen Tarrillion. He is survived by his children; Thomas (Tom) Tarrillion and wife Sylvia, Dennis Tarrillion and wife Ann, Frances Tarrillion; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Visitation will begin on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 6:30pm to 9:00pm at Roy Akers Funeral Chapels with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm. Visitation will resume on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 9:30am at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am. Interment to follow at St. Joseph’s Society Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Margaret Mary Catholic School Endowment Fund or the Downtown Optimist Club.
