Raquel R. Ruiz

Raquel R. Ruiz went to be with our Lord on April 25, 2012 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents Alejandro and Felicitas Ruiz, brothers; Roy Ruiz, Jose Ruiz, and brother-in-law Eduardo Perez Casanova, Sr. Raquel was strong-willed, classy, faithful, had lots of determination, and was a good business woman. She owned and operated Pauline’s Beauty Shop for 58 years with her sister Pauline. Even though she never married or had her own children, she was a mother and grandmother to all of us. She is survived by her sister Pauline Ruiz Casanova, nephew Eduardo P. Casanova, Jr. and wife Aurora, niece Felisa Casanova Fuentes and husband Ed, nephew Pedro Villa and wife Nancy, sister-in-law Sylvia Ruiz, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm on Friday, April 27, 2012 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm. We will depart the funeral home at 8:30am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 to St. Paul’s Catholic Church for a 9:00am Mass of Resurrection. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
