Raymond Gonzalez Lopez

Raymond Gonzalez Lopez, age 92, was granted his angel wings on September 30th, 2026. He was born on March 15th, 1934 in Waco, Texas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Tomas and Jesusa Lopez; Grandparents, Papa Louis and Mama Anatasia; Brothers, Louis, Johnny, Tomas Jr., Arturo; Sister Frances Edge and his former spouse Marie S. Levy.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Hernal and her son Charles Hernal and daughter Alexandra; his daughter Marie Reed; his son Ray Frances and wife Hsien-Ling and son Edward Stephen. His grandchildren include Ashlea Reed, Garrett Reed, and Joshua Tolsma and his great grandchildren are McKenna, Cayson, Tenley Jo, Rustin, Granger and Cohen. He also leaves behind his siblings: Juanta Criado, Teresa Almanza, Alice Rodriguez and husband Vincente, Robert, Richard, and Carlos and wife Cindy; Cousin Delores Ortiz and her brother Daniel Gonzalez and wife Linda; Brother in Law Rodney Edge.

Raymond served in the United States Army. He graduated from Baylor University in 1961 and worked for numerous companies including Jacobs Cathey Air Conditioning, The City of Austin, Texas Instruments, NCR, Litton Mellonics and most recently managed his own countertops and flooring company in San Antonio.

Raymond was a sweet and loving Dad, Grandfather and Great Grandfather who lived in Austin, Texas until 1983 and then moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado before moving back to Austin in 1986. He has been married to Mary Hernal and lived in Windcrest since 1994.

Raymond is loved by so many and his compassionate heart will be remembered forever!
