Though I did not have the privilege of knowing Mrs. Rodriguez well, I certainly know the wonderful person she was. Her extraordinary family is a legacy which continues to make the world a better place. The love that her children have for her and for each other is evident in all that they do for each other and in how they treat those they interact with each day. I was blessed to work with her son, Rodney, as a teacher in Natalia. During that time, I was included in many of their family adventures from fishing trips to bunco nights. I never think of bunco, or see dice for that matter, without thinking of Mrs. Rodriguez. Her technique of shaking the dice and saying, "come on babies" was always too funny. The little shriek that she would let out when a bunco was rolled often threw off the competition at the table and allowed her to swoop in and scoop up the dice. The times I was honored to spend with her were, sadly, not numerous, but certainly memorable and always FUN. She was one of a kind and will be missed. Thoughts and prayers are with all of the family and all who knew this great lady! Love y'all!
