Rene Buquor Villarreal

Rene B. Villarreal, 82, went to be with his Lord on April 5, 2018. He was born in San Antonio, Texas to Rodolfo and Hortencia Villarreal on March 1, 1936. He married the love of his life Marilyn in 1980. He was a running back on the Brackenridge High School football team, where he graduated from in 1955. He also graduated from San Antonio College with an associate’s degree in 1957. He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Marcus R. Villarreal; sister: Lydia Penaloza. He is survived by his wife: Marilyn J. Villarreal; his children: Anthony Villarreal (Shelly), Cecile Gomez (Pete), and Crystal Villarreal; sister: Sylvia Bisnar (Hank); grandchildren: Brandon R. Villarreal, Stephanie Horocofsky (Joey), and Mickey Flores, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Monday April 9, 2018 at Roy Akers Funeral Home 515 N. Main Ave starting at 9:30 a.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m., and the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m., and interment at San Jose Burial Park.
