Ricardo P. Aguilar

Ricardo served over twenty-five years in the United States Navy, retiring as Master Chief. On January 5, 1974 he married his high school Sweetheart, Frances Esparza.

He loved to spend time with his family and deep sea fishing. He also liked wood work. His favorite time of year was Halloween, in the Fall. Ricard enjoyed making woodwork decorations for the holiday and especially loved handing out candy to the children.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents Ruperto Cruz Aguilar and Carmen Pompa Aguilar. He is survived by his widow, Frances Esparza Aguilar, daughters, Irene Aguilar Straight, Elena Aguilar-Bishop, and son Javier Aguilar. Son-in-law Shaun Bishop and daughter-in-law Kendra Michaels, brother Antonio P. Aguilar, sisters Gloria Aguilar, and Christina A. Dickens, four grandchildren, and three great- grandchildren.

Viewing is scheduled on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers, 515 N Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205. Burial is to be held at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209 on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 11:00 a.m.
