Richard "Rick" Casas

Richard “Rick” Casas, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend entered rest on September 4, 2011 at the age of 47. A native of San Antonio, Texas, he was born to Carlos Casas and Elida Perez on September 23, 1963. Rick was a dedicated HEB employee, who worked as a baker for over 29 years. He was a generous, loving and committed man who will be remembered for his uplifting “Smile”. He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather, Raul T. Lozano and a brother, Eric Casas. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence “Mimi” Casas; their two beautiful children; daughter, Sabrina Renee and son, Victor Edward Casas; mother, Elida Lozano; brothers, Carlos Casas and wife Bonnie, Raul Lozano, Jr. ; sister-in-law, Cindy Casas; several other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Rick will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a 7:00 p.m., Rosary being recited at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 9, 2011 at St. Philip of Jesus Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to Mass. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery III. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to HEB staff for their special care during our difficult time.
