Robert L Fernandez Sr.

Robert was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Whether gathered around a backyard barbecue, sharing stories during a road trip, or cheering on his favorite basketball and football teams, he treasured every moment spent with those closest to him. He was an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for family and friends, enjoyed listening to classic rock, and had a special place in his heart for his beloved pets. His warm personality, sense of humor, and generous spirit will be remembered by everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Joe Fernandez and Antonia Longoria; siblings Joe Fernandez, Gloria Phelps, and Emilio Fernandez.

He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Anita Marie Moreno (Joseph Moreno) and Natalia Robinson (Josh Robinson); his sons, Robert Fernandez Jr., Ruben Daniel Fernandez, and Joe Anthony Fernandez; his siblings Esther Meiche, Evangelina Patlan, Sylvia Avalos, Antonia Espinoza, Ruben Fernandez, Norma Jean Price. As well as his former spouse Angelita Espinoza.

Robert also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Moreno, Jonathan Moreno, Justin Moreno, Jayden Bandy, Nevaeh Bandy, Luke Bandy, Jacob Fernandez, and Sydney Fernandez, as well as one great-grandson River Ray Moreno.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, US, on August 14, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Rosary will be held from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
