Roger Davila, 76, passed away on January 21, 2019. He was born on October 5, 1942 in San Antonio, Texas to his father and mother, Alfredo and Maria Davila, and he was a dedicated cook for the Pig Stand on Broadway for 20 years.

Roger is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Eva; his parents, Alfredo and Maria; his sister Yolanda; and his brother, Robert.

He is survived by his son, Roger and wife Julia; his daughter Irene and husband Oscar; his grandchildren, Robert, Roger III, Amber, Stephanie, and Marissa; his great-grandson, Robert IV; his sisters, Mary Lou, Delia, Rosa, Lupe; and his brother, Alfredo.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 from 4 PM to 9 PM at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers – 515 N. Main Ave. 78205 – with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. A Funeral Procession will depart from the funeral home at 9:45 AM to arrive at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church – 1710 Clower 78201 – for 10:30 AM Mass. Burial at San Fernando Cemetery II – 746 Castroville Rd. 78236 – will follow.

We will miss you dearly dad. I never gave up , Oscar and I did are very best to take care of you right to the end. What can I say you were always telling me when was I going to get married in your words " si te va pasar el tren" lol I knew you were joking with me just like you always would when I would see you I'm going to miss you sitting in almas kitchen talking with everyone or just waiting for my grandma to get there I know my grandma is going to miss you the most but at least now you can be with the rest of the family its not a good bye it's a see you later uncle kelo

Siento mucho la situación por la que deben estar pasando la familia de Roger . La pérdida de un ser querido siempre es muy difícil. Solamente quería compartir un pensamiento que por lo menos me ha dado mucho consuelo. Se encuentra en Juan 5:28,29 donde Dios nos asegura que vendrá el día en que volvamos a ver a nuestros seres queridos. Espero que esta escritura le pueda servir de consuelo.
