Was a loving and God-fearing woman. She attended Alamo Heights High School. After becoming a widower at such a young age and raising 3 beautiful girls, she then returned to continue her education at Our Lady of the Lake University. She was a seamstress at Esskay MFG. most of her career. She attended Christ the King Church where she was a member of the choir and volunteered for the Cruciesta and CCD classes for the youth. She also volunteered at Palazio Del Sol Senior Center. She was well known for helping with the youth sports all around. Her passion was her crafts and plants. She crafted baby blankets, potholders, wreaths, aprons, floral baskets, pillowcases, crotched and cross stitched. She then passed these traits down to her daughters and granddaughters. She was well known during the holidays for her infamous “Finger Cookies” Just ask Carol. She was a huge Spurs Fan and would not miss a game if Coach Pop could hear her, he probably would have taken allot of her advice as she definitely watched more games than we can even count. She enjoyed going to all her grandchildren’s sports events. Her favorite family time was when we got together and barbequed and played loterria where she was so happy to win all our money. Her time spent at the casinos with her family and friends were also her favorite moments. I guess you can say she was a family gambler but always walked away with a smile win or lose. “Until next time “she would say.
