Socorro S. Medrano

Socorro S. Medrano, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, born on February 17, 1930 in San Antonio, TX and entered into eternal rest on September 15, 2013 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jesse and is survived by their children, Maria Del Socorro Medrano, Silvana Grigsby, Suzi Vara (Ernesto), Jesus Medrano (Lulu), Jorge Medrano (Yuwadee), Sara Aguilar (Leo); grandchildren: Tessa, Vanessa, Alejandra, Erika, Marilu, Alejandro, Jennifer, Kimberlee, Victoria, Gabriela, Nitza, Jessica, Michael and Joshua; great-grandchildren: Lauren, Megan, Madison, Haylie, George, Joshua, Johnny and Sophia; sisters, Ana S. Oscos and Bertha Sanchez; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, September 21, 2013 to celebrate a 9:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
