My condolences to Sophie's family, it was a shock to hear about her passing. I've had the pleasure of knowing Sophie during our high school years. She is such a beautiful person with a beautiful smile and laughter. I will always remember our times together, whether it was cheering on the VOKS or time away from school and our outings. Especially, when we would all cramp up in BEBE'S (Letty's mom) beetle car, to drop off us off at a dance or anywhere we had to go. How time passes by...….those were the days! The lord watered on a rose petal (Sophie), to blossom and live in his eternal kingdom. God bless your family & friends through this difficult time, rest in eternal peace.

Love Always,

Thinking of you today and always. I still remember the night of the chili bowl 1980 at Alamo Stadium and we were setting up on the bleachers and I told you: you look beautiful Sofie! Your eyes lit up, smiled and said thank you Roger! You were always a sweet girl to talk to. I took many pics during my HS years and had my camera 📷 ready for that evening as well. I’ve saved this pic in my memory book all of these years. God bless your soul and may the lord keep you under his wings always. Love you sweet friend.
Sincerely,
Roger Martinez ~ Senior Vok Varsity Tumbler 1981.
