Sriya McKeel (Bonnie), a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on August 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, wisdom, and treasured memories. She lived a remarkable 90 years, filled with experiences, relationships, and countless moments that touched the lives of those around her. A woman of strength, grace, and determination, she found her greatest source of pride in her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, CMSGT (Ret) Sydney McKeel.
She was a dedicated mother to five successful children: Dr. Sal McKeel, Sidney McKeel, SMSGT (Ret) Seth McKeel, Sasisopa Faildo, and Joe McKeel. Her love, guidance, sacrifices, and steadfast support nurtured each of them, helping them find their paths and achieve success. She instilled in her children the values of hard work, kindness, perseverance, gratitude, and self-belief.
She leaves behind her five children and their spouses: Anna McKeel, Phitsaya McKeel, Patricia McKeel, Mark Faildo, and Mallory McKeel, along with seven grandchildren and many relatives and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Although she is no longer with us, her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, and everyone whose lives she touched. The lessons she taught, the love she gave, and the memories she created will live in their hearts forever.
She lived 90 years. She loved deeply. She gave generously. And she leaves a legacy that will carry on for generations.
May she rest peacefully, knowing she was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers, 515 North Main Ave, San Antonio, TX 78205, US, on September 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with eulogies at the same location on September 28, 2026, from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A committal service will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209, US, on September 29, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:00 am.
