

Teresa Gutierrez, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on July 3, 1935, she lived a life marked by resilience, creativity, and deep devotion to her family. She is now reunited with her husband, John Celestino Gutierrez, and her parents, Julia Aldrete De Leon and Ernesto De Leon, as well as her siblings Margarete De Leon, Jimmy De Leon, and Ernest De Leon Jr.
Teresa was a gifted beautician and the proud owner of Teresa’s House of Beauty, where she spent decades helping others feel confident, cared for, and seen. Her salon was more than a business—it was a gathering place filled with laughter, stories, and the unmistakable warmth she brought into every room. Outside of her work, Teresa found joy in tending her garden, nurturing life with the same patience and love she offered to everyone around her.
She is survived by her sons, Ernest San Miguel, Robert San Miguel, and Josef San Miguel; her daughters in law, Debra San Miguel, wife of Ernest, and Norma San Miguel, wife of Robert. Teresa leaves behind her cherished granddaughters: Teresa Alexander, Ashley Nunez, and Robin San Miguel, daughters of Robert; and Julia Dupont and Alyssa San Miguel, daughters of Ernest. She is also survived by her step grandson, Alexzander Ramon, son of Martha Ramon. Along with numerous great grandchildren, each of them carries forward her strength, her humor, and her unwavering love for family. The family also wishes to acknowledge Robert’s former wife, Martha Ramon, who, though no longer married into the family, remained devoted to Teresa and lovingly assisted her through the final chapter of her life. Her care and presence were a true blessing.
Teresa’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—with her hands, her heart, and her unshakeable spirit. She will be remembered for her kindness, her creativity, her fierce loyalty, and the beauty she cultivated in every sense of the word.
Her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, surrounded once again by those she loved and missed so dearly.
