She worked as a waitress for Walgreens Drug Store in downtown San Antonio and she worked for Richter’s Butterkrust Bakery for 25 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Regina Rodriguez Otero, her brothers Joe Otero, Ruben Otero, and Sam Otero. Also her sisters Mary Louise Robles, Andrea Otero, Mary Ellen Rubio, Janie Otero, and Stella Arispe.

She is survived by her daughter Melissa Valdez and husband Alex Valdez, her grandchildren Daniel Valdez, his wife Kelli Johnson Valdez, granddaughter, Natalie Lewis and her husband Tim Lewis, grandson, Cameron Valdez. Great Grand Children, Chloe Ann Valdez, Hayden Valdez, Jayce Valdez, Isabella Faith Lewis, Orthus Knighton Lewis V, Timothy Arnold Lewis Jr., Miley Arianna Lewis.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. On Thursday, January 24, 2019 the Funeral Procession will depart at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 Mass of the Resurrection at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, with interment to follow at San Fernando II.
