Ventura L. Martinez, born on July 14, 1925 in Elmendorf, Texas went to be with the Lord on November 1, 2015 at the age of 90. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pedro and Maria Longoria and her husband; Marcelino H. Martinez. She is survived by her children, Marcelino Martinez Jr. (Anna), Teresa Guerra (Ernest), Armando Martinez, Viola Contreras (Adrian), Ruben Martinez, Rachel Martinez, Walter Martinez (Wilma), Lucinda Liserio (Ruben), Christine Altamirano, 24 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N. Main Ave., from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 for a 9:15 a.m. Mass at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church, 125 W.
