Virginia Silva, our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother is in joyous and ever lasting peace with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She entered eternal rest on September 26, 2014 with family at her side.
Virginia was born in Karnes City, TX on Sept 30, 1922 to Seferino Cesar and Trinidad Vasquez Cesar. The young family moved to San Antonio, TX in the early 1930's where she later met and married Esiquio Luna Silva on April, 1939. They bore six children: Richard Silva (wife Isabel), Trini Stull (husband Sam), Janie Gottfredson (husband Jacob) of Corpus Christi, TX, Edward Silva (wife JoAnn) of Lake Livingston, TX, Lawrence Silva, James Silva (wife Bea) of Yukon, OK.
Be fruitful and multiply said the Lord. Thus the Lord further blessed the Esiquio Silva Family with 18 grandsons and granddaughters, 36 great- grandsons and great- granddaughters and 2 great- great -grandsons.
Our precious Mother was preceded in death by the love of her life, husband Esiquio L Silva and two brothers, Eliseo and Michael Contreras and one sister, Eloise Jaimes.
Virginia was active in church activities in her younger days when her health permitted in the parishes of St. Timothy, St. Stephen, and St. John Berchman’s Catholic Church.
Her greatest joy was her Family, teaching them the values and prayers that sustain them today. She loved “all her kids”. And all her kids still love her dearly. A devoted and loving Mother, she is forever in our hearts, our memories and our prayers.
