Carlos Lopez Hernandez

Carlos had a passion for construction and took great pride in building and remodeling homes. Through his craftsmanship and attention to detail, he helped create places where families could build their lives and memories. He also devoted many years of service to Brownsville ISD as a math teacher, where he inspired countless students through his knowledge, patience, and commitment to education.

Carlos was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and wisdom touched many lives. He was a man of faith who trusted in God's plan and lived with integrity and compassion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nieves Moreno Hernandez and Josefina Lopez; his brother, Antonio Lopez Hernandez; and his nephew, L.J. Hernandez.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, Jesus L. Hernandez and Ernesto L. Hernandez (Ke); his sister, Olivia H. Gutierrez (Domingo +); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Michael Hernandez (Angelica), Lisa Gutierrez Llanes (Michael), Christopher J. Gutierrez, and Camille Eldridge (Larry), along with many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Though his family mourns his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Carlos has been welcomed into God's eternal kingdom and reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. His legacy of hard work, faith, education, and love for family will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Serving as pallbearers will be Caleb Godinez, Ernesto L. Hernandez, Jesus L. Hernandez, Michael Hernandez, Michael Llanes, and Pablo Ruiz Jr.

Carlos will be remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration, and his memory will remain a blessing to all who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, TX 785867351, US, on June 18, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with the Rosary at the same location on June 18, 2026, at 7:00 pm.  

A Chapel Service will take place at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, TX 785867351, US, on June 19, 2026, at 10:00 am, followed by Burial at Mont Meta Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, TX 785867351, US, on June 19, 2026, at 11:00 am.
