Daniel Leal

Daniel Leal, age 72, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 4, 1953, Daniel lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, kindness, and devotion to those he loved.

Daniel was a godly man who believed deeply in helping others, never hesitating to lend a hand to anyone in need. He gave freely of himself and expected nothing in return. Known for his generous heart, steady presence, and humble spirit, he touched countless lives through his acts of kindness and compassion.

He had a great love for hunting and enjoyed spending time outdoors. Even after retiring following 25 dedicated years working for the San Benito School District, Daniel remained active and busy, always finding ways to serve others and stay involved with family and friends.

Above all, Daniel was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and faithful friend. He shared 48 beautiful years of marriage with the love of his life, Raquel Leal, building a family grounded in love, faith, and unity.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Raquel Leal; his children, Bianca Castro (Pablo), Daniel Leal Jr. (Ayelin), Rachel Castro (Fidel), and Jose Thomas Leal; and his cherished grandchildren, Mathieu Daniel Leal, Eliana Rae Castro, Nathan Eli Castro, Fidel Jeptha Castro, Alexander Ramy Castro, and Adrian Zachary Castro.

He is also survived by his sisters, Arminda Ratliff, Lucila Garza, Fina Fernandez, and Yolanda Garcia, along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure his memory.

Daniel is preceded in death by his parents, Federico and Eugenia Leal. He is also reunited in heaven with his brothers, Eloy Leal, Luis Leal, Hector Leal, Ricardo Leal, Patricio Leal, Rodolfo Leal, and his sister, Merry Leal.

Daniel Leal will be remembered for his unwavering faith in God, his servant’s heart, and the unconditional love he shared with everyone around him. His legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
