Eddie spent 20 years in the banking industry in the Brownsville area, working for Mercantile Bank, Wells Fargo, and First National Bank. He later spent 13 years with the Cameron County Tax Assessor’s Office. Throughout his life, Eddie was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend.
Eddie enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved fishing and hunting, listening to The Eagles and Carlos Santana, and spending weekends watching old Westerns starring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He was also a fan of action movies, with Top Gun among his favorites. He especially enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and, above all, spending time with his family. Eddie cherished the people he loved and the time they shared together.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Yolanda Guzman Cisneros; his children, Eduardo Cisneros, Jr. and his girlfriend, Giselle, and Cylinda Esmeralda Cisneros; his parents, Mauro Cisneros, Sr. and Maria del Carmen Munoz Cisneros; his brothers, Mauro Cisneros, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth, and Alberto Cisneros and his wife, Diana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddie is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Aurelio & Juana Cisneros; Maternal Grandparents, Antonio & Isabel Munoz; his nephew Andres Miguel Cisneros; and recently his sister Margarita Isabel Brown.
Eddie’s family finds comfort in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved big sister, Margie. While her passing followed a courageous battle with cancer, Eddie’s sudden passing just days later was an unexpected heartbreak. Their family takes comfort in knowing that brother and sister are together again, surrounded by love and in the presence of God.
Those who will have the honor of serving as pallbearers are his son, Eduardo Cisneros, Jr.; nephews Mauro Cisneros, III, and Antonio Gabriel Cisneros; cousin Raul Arellano; nephews Amado Guzman and Cruz A. Guzman; and family friend Zachary Elizondo.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are his brothers, Mauro Cisneros, Jr., and Alberto Cisneros, and family friend Fernando Ramirez.
