Jesus C. Garza Sr.

His hobbies were spending time with his wife, Clara, of 60 years, watching old western TV shows, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.

He was employed at Payless Shoe Source for 34 years and served as a district manager until his retirement in 1995.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Clara; his sons, Jose Luis (Alma), Rene Guadalupe, Sr. (Belinda), George Antonio (Cindy), Jesus Cortez, Jr. (Ana), and his beloved daughter, Cynthia Ann. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Rene Jr. (Rachel), Jennifer (Daniel), Cassandra (Rikk), Leanna, Jesse III, Audrey, Alynna, and Christien. Jesus was also blessed with 5 great grandchildren, Victoria Marie, Victoria Renee, Selena, Olivia, and Xia.

He has 3 remaining siblings, Rosendo Jr., Maria, and Luz, along with, numerous nieces and nephews.

Jesus is preceded in death by his parents, Rosendo Sr. and Luz Garza, several brothers and sisters, and his late grandson, Michael Travis.

A Visitation for Jesus will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta & Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586. A Chapel Service will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff from US Renal Care - Harlingen, Harlingen Medical Center, and the incredible ICU staff at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
