

Dagoberto was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, uncle, father-in-law and a friend to all who he came in contact with. He enjoyed spending time with his daughter, family and friends. He liked meeting people and helping others. He enjoyed the outdoors, listening to music, being active and watching the Dallas Cowboys football games. He was a hard worker and liked learning new trades.
Dagoberto graduated from San Benito High School in 1984. He was involved in many clubs in high school and played basketball. He won many awards in sports as well as in Speech and Drama competitions. Shortly after graduating from high school, he joined the United States Navy.
He proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 15 years. During his time in the Navy, he earned several metals for Good Conduct, Meritorious Unit Commendation, and several Sea Service Deployment ribbons, Navy Fleet Marine Force Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, NCO PME and Graduate PME. Dagoberto was proud of the years he dedicated to the Navy and often told stories about how he served his country. He was stationed in varies areas including Okinawa, Japan, California, Corpus Christi and Connecticut. In the Navy he earned a degree as a Registered Radiology Technologist (AART). He worked in his profession in the Navy and in local hospitals after he served his country. He enjoyed working in the medical field and making a difference.
Left to treasure Dagoberto’s memory is his daughter, Kristianna (John) Flores, his parents Jose Dagoberto Flores, Sr. and Luz Flores, his sisters, Chrisella Reyna (Rito), Emelda Flores, Rachel Flores De Leon, his brother Adan Jose Flores (Laura) and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and many other relatives. Dagoberto will be greatly missed and be in our hearts forever.
Dagoberto is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Carlos Flores, Sr., Refugia Flores, and his maternal grandparents, Juan Barrientos, Sr., and Luz Barrientos.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 4pm to 9pm at Funeraria Del Angel Mont Meta & Memorial Park, 26170 State Highway 345, San Benito, Texas 78586. The Holy Rosary will be prayed on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 7:00 pm. The funeral mass to be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday January 12, 2024, at St. Benedict Church, 351 S. Bowie, San Benito, Texas. Burial to follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park in San Benito, Texas.
