

As a child, Joe grew up in the community of El Ranchito. He was a loving father and husband.
An enthusiast of all sports, Joe was a lifelong Houston Astros fanatic and also loved the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends at BBQs and social gatherings. His favorite part was the music so he could dance in his boots and cowboy hat. Most of all, Joe loved taking care of and helping people any chance he could. Joe will be remembered as being warm, compassionate, and kind, a loyal friend, and of course, fun to be around.
Joe studied hard and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from Pan American University. He was as an Educator in Math for San Benito CISD for over 15 years. He also owned Glory Days Adult Day Care for 12 years and was a mental health counselor for three years.
Jose is survived by his wife, Irma G Garza; his son Jose (Joey) Luis Garza, Jr; his sister Blanca G Reza (Reynaldo), his brother LeeRoy Garza (Ageda) and his brother Tony Garza; his nephew Ryan, his niece Rebecca, his nephew Isiah, his nephew Daniel and his niece Leena.
Jose was preceded in death by his father Ismael "Mayo" Garza and his mother Arminda "Minda" Garza.
He was also loved and will be missed dearly by numerous other relatives such as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
