Maria L Guevara

Maria was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt whose life centered on her family, her faith, and the simple joys she cherished each day. She will be remembered for her kind heart, devotion to prayer, and love for those around her.

Maria dedicated more than 20 years of her life to Ed Downs Elementary School, where she served as a teacher’s aide. Through her years of service, she touched the lives of many students and families.

In her quiet moments, Maria enjoyed sitting outside and feeding her cats. She was devoted to her daily prayers, finding comfort and strength in her faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Ana Garcia; her beloved daughters, Laura Ann Guevara and Yvette Marie Guevara; and her nephew, Mateo Rodriguez.

Maria leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Michelle Guevara; her grandchildren, Ashley Gomez, Michael Guevara, and Joshua De La Rosa; and her brother, Jesus (Adriana) Garcia. She is also survived by her nephews, Noe (Heather) Rodriguez, Jesus (Nicki) Garcia Jr., and Javier (Stephanie) Garcia, along with extended family and loved ones who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.

Maria’s life was a testament to love, faith, family, and quiet devotion. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on through the family she loved and the many lives she touched.

May she rest in eternal peace.
