Maria had a gift for making a house feel like a home. Her garden was her sanctuary — a place where she nurtured life, beauty, and peace. Whether it was a burst of color from her flowers or the scent of herbs in the air, her garden reflected her love and care for all living things.
She found joy in cooking for her family and grandchildren, filling her kitchen with laughter, delicious aromas, and the comfort of shared meals. Every dish she made carried her heart — a quiet reminder of how deeply she loved and cared for those around her.
But above all else, Maria’s greatest joy was her family. She cherished every moment — from simple afternoons spent together to special celebrations filled with laughter. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought wisdom, and her love will continue to guide and inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.
Maria is survived by her children, Gustavo Olivares (Sumre), Hector Olivares (Janie), Ismael Olivares, Victor Olivares (Elvia), Jesus Olivares (Sylvia), Martha Rodriguez, and Norberto Olivares (Flora); as well as her 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Maria’s memory will live on in the gardens she planted, the meals she shared, and the countless hearts she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
