Ramiro believed in Jesus Christ at an early age, but did not make Him the Lord of his life until Tuesday, October 11, 2022. We celebrate his life here on this earth, but more so, we celebrate that he is now in a healed and whole body in heaven with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Ramiro was a strong, hard-working man who touched so many lives while he walked this earth. He was loved by so many and had such a deep impact that extended to those outside his home. He taught many the importance of having a strong work ethic and never giving up.
He loved his family dearly, especially his 5 grandkids. They were his pride and joy and you could tell that because of the twinkle in his eyes when he saw them enter the room.
He was a big LF Falcons, Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan and loved listening to the likes of George Strait, Alan Jackson, Country Roland, and of course Jimmy Swaggart with his very favorite song on repeat “Wasted Years.”
His joy was to spend every morning with his coffee crew at Tres Hermanos. He was so appreciative of any time spent catching up with extended family and friends and once you were “in the family” you were endeared to him forever. Maybe his absolute favorite thing to do, though, was take long drives with his eternally devoted, wife, Delia, on the country roads reminiscing of the good ol’ days. He always expressed how peaceful he felt as they drove for miles and miles with no particular destination.
And now, he has arrived to his final destination, into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Although we are grieving, we grieve with hope that we will be together again one day, worshipping around the throne of God where “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:4.
Ramiro is survived by his wife, Delia Tamez; his daughters Cynthia L. Lozano (Miguel Lozano); Debbie T. LaPoint (Chris LaPoint); and his step-son Danny Aguilera; his brother Jacinto Tamez Jr.; his grandsons Miguel Lozano II, Lucas LaPoint, Levi LaPoint, Liam LaPoint, and his granddaughter, Clarissa Lozano
Ramiro was preceded in death by his brother Daniel Tamez; his sister Raquel T. Snell and his sister Sara T. Gonzales.
